i just happened to flip past this very relevant quote in my notebook from the “confessional culture” class i took with ann pellegrini in fall 2010. there are other apropos notes like “if women are made to be seen, what does it mean to produce yourself to be seen?” and “confession is a collaborative affair.” it’s like i’ve been waiting for this my whole life.
